Warplanes of Area 51-boeing
blue book
Such interest forced the USAF to set up Project Blue Book to investigate the continuing sightings of unidentified flying objects. Essentially a public relations exercise, Blue Book ran until 1969 and its goal was to debunk UFO reports by any means necessary. One of their top investigators was Dr. J Allen Hynek, an astronomer from Ohio University
Mars 69 (Photo : NASA)
Solar cells
Why do we waste time drilling for oil and shovelling coal when there's a gigantic power station in the sky up above us, sending out clean, non-stop energy for free? The Sun, a seething ball of nuclear power, has enough fuel onboard to drive the Universe for another five billion years—and solar panels can turn this energy into an endless, convenient supply of electricity.

Before Man flew.
The chimpanzee "Ham" was the live test subject for the Mercury Redstone 2 flight on January 31, 1961. Here the 17-kg (37-pound) primate is fitted into a special "biopack" couch prior to flight. The 680-kilometer (420 statute miles) suborbital mission was a significant accomplishment in the American route to manned spaceflight.

We don’t know what these peculiar objects are,
but they certainly don’t look like anything
one would normally find at an airbase.
Note that what at first glance may appear
to be incorrect shadows are actually
enormous pits dug out of the earth.
And the three-sided pyramid is
perhaps the most intriguing of all,
especially since it appears to be made of dirt.

CVSRF
The Crew-Vehicle Systems Research Facility (CVSRF) is an unparalleled national resource that supports NASA, the FAA, and many industry research programs. Designed to provide researchers with an environment where they can study how and why aviation errors occur, CVSRF stands out in the area of human factors research.
Space Shuttle Challenger
On January 28, 1986 the Space Shuttle Challenger was destroyed 73 seconds after liftoff due to a design problem with seals on the solid rocket boosters. 7 astronauts lost their lives, and NASA was subjected to several months of investigation by a Presidential Commission. The Commission’s Report revealed a lot of problems at NASA, mostly with communications between management and engineering staff.
“Akron”
In April of 1933, the United States Navy Rigid Airship “Akron” crashed off the coast of New Jersey. Seventy-three Navy airmen were lost in this horrifying disaster. The development of rigid airships and “blimps” ended in Europe at the end of the First World War. In the U.S. and Great Britain however, limited programs continued. The Akron was commissioned in 1929 and went into service on October 27, 1931. She was built at the U.S. Goodyear Zeppelin Corporation in Akron Ohio.

X-43A ( UAV aircraft.)
'This unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is 12 ft long, part aircraft and part spacecraft, will be dropped from the wing of a modified B-52 aircraft, boosted to nearly 100,000 feet altitude by a rocket after release over the Pacific Ocean to briefly fly under its own power at seven times the speed of sound, almost 5,000 mph.'
Nanosat Launch Vehicle (NLV)
